Peggy Sue Rosson Gilliam Lundberg, age 83 of Rison, formerly of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at The Greenhouse Cottages of Southern Hills in Rison, AR. She was born May 1, 1941, in Lake Village, AR to the late J.T. and Estelle Payne Rosson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Lundberg; her sisters, Dorothy Farner and Betty Joan Rosson; and brothers, Bill and Ed Rosson.

Peggy was of the Christian faith and a member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church, a devoted mom, and MeMe to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an excellent seamstress and gardener. Peggy enjoyed deer hunting and cooking for her family. She was a homemaker and worked as a teller at the drive-thru window at Union Bank in Monticello for many years.

Survivors include her three sons, Bill Gilliam (Kelly) of Wilmar, Stephen Gilliam (Michelle) of Pansy, and Kevin Gilliam (Brandi) of Monticello; grandchildren, Brittany Sears (Brad), Chris Gilliam (Tiffany), Meagan Terrell (Scott), Logan Gilliam (Abbie), Ethan Gilliam (Brandi), and Hayli Gilliam; great-grandchildren, Abigail Terrell, Sawyer Sears, and Briar Terrell. Peggy is also survived by her sisters, Mary Pike of Springville, AL and Clara Clement (Steve) of Parkdale, AR; her brothers, Dennis Rosson (Christy) of Boaz, AL, and Roy Rosson of Boaz, AL; sister-in-law, Carolyn Rosson of Fort Worth, TX; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Stephenson Dearman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Monticello with Rev. Dwayne Roper and Rev. Mary Stewart officiating. Graveside services and interment will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Noble Hill Cemetery in Attalla, AL. Active pallbearers will be Ethan Gilliam, Chris Gilliam, Scott Terrell, Logan Gilliam, Brad Sears, and Nathan Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Pace, Terry Crook, Chris Barnett, Ray Paschall, Justin Pamplin, Zach Pamplin, and Brian Rosson.
