Pattye was a member of the Enon Extension Homemaker's Club for over 60 years. She was the secretary of Enon Water Association for many years. Pattye's love for people showed through her great southern hospitality where even a stranger would leave with a feeling of being a part of the family. She often talked about the enjoyment of helping Buddy around the farm with the cows and raising their gardens. She loved cooking and baking. Pattye's most cherished moments was time spent with and talking about her granddaughters.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, D.T. ''Buddy'' Bordeaux who she married, September 2, 1956. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Basil Murphy and her sister, Merle Johnson.

I always considered Pattye a good friend. I was associated with her when I worked at the Extension Office. During those 50 years I never saw Pattye get upset about anything. She always had a pleasant smile on her face and was ready to help anyone that needed help. She loved her Lord and I know she was glad to go home.

Our hearts are sad with the loss of our good long time friend. Our world has lost a wonderful Christian lady. Pattye was always the same sweet lady anytime I saw her.
Our sons were good friends with both spending time in each others homes as well as many Sunday dinners our families shared together.
Our love and prayers are for you Danny and all of your family.
    Much love
    James and Kathy

As soon as I read about Pattye I thought of Danny and his family. Then memories of 4H, Enon Baptist, EHC and the many many ice cream socials we had at our house or their house. I particularly remember when Danny was born and Buddy would hold his son up for us to see while sitting in the front pew at church. I was a teenager, so as Danny grew and could stand by himself we really caused trouble for him since he loved the attention with his smile. Pattye would patiently turn Danny around and pat him on the head telling him to listen to the preacher. My parents Elvin and Roberta Bates were dear friends of Buddy and Pattye. It’s sad to know that these great Christian people are gone, but we are a better community having known and loved them.
