Jerry Von Eubanks, age 67 of Johnsville, AR, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, April 7, 2025, at his home. He was born April 7, 1958, in Monticello, AR to the late Jerry Eubanks and Charlotte Taylor Eubanks.
Von was a tomato farmer for many years in the Possum Valley community in his younger years before becoming a Pipeline Gas Line Inspector. He was a Baptist and attended Calvary Presbyterian Church in Johnsville. Von loved the outdoors where he was an avid turkey hunter, deer hunter and fisherman. Cooking was also one of his passions and he dearly loved eating his cooking and sharing it with anybody. He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and the Martin Bottom Hunting Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Eubanks.
A people person who loved everyone, Von had an infectious personality, quick wit and sense of humor that was beyond measure. Those that knew Von quickly recognize these characteristics and loved him back. He also had a huge heart and was a cheerful giver to his family and friends and sometimes, even complete strangers. He loved going to pawn shops, jewing them down to a good price and giving away what he bought. No one could tell a story, gobble like a turkey, call a turkey, catch a crappie or make people laugh like Von Eubanks. Von has won many state and national titles in turkey calling and owl hooting. A big buck was in trouble if Von ever got after him. He would sometimes hunt all day to harvest him. People were just drawn to Von with a love and compassion that was unequaled. He was true man of faith and one that always was there for his family and friends. However, Von's greatest love was his wife, children, grandchildren and sister. They were his everything!
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Terri Ferrell Eubanks of Johnsville whom he married on September 3, 1982; a daughter, Taylor Eubanks of Los Angeles, CA; a son, Cole Eubanks and wife Kalie of Farmerville, LA; three grandchildren, Ryder Nokes, Kennison Eubanks and Holden Eubanks; a sister, Cindy Dearman and husband Chuck of Monticello; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives that he loved.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Jacks and Rev. Robert Green officiating. There will be a visitation Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Cole Ferrell Eubanks, Donnie McKinney, Rob Green, Zane Ferrell, Andre Miller, John Wayne Slaughter, Shaun Harvey, Clay Lowry, Greg Stanley, Mark Stanley, Rusty Glennon, Buck Loveless, James Knowles, Clay Gibson, Robert Gibson and Bryan Ferrell. Burial will be in the Valley Cemetery. You can sign Von's guestbook registry here on his page.
