I served in the armed forces.
George Washington Carver Johnson was born on September 27, 1945, to John Wesley and Effie Johnson in Wilmar, Arkansas. George enlisted in the United States Army and was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. George was deployed to Detroit during the Civil Rights Riot era. George is also a veteran of two Combat Theater, Afghanistan and Iraq.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Evora of Wilmar, Arkansas; five children, Earl Lee Ingram (Ramona) of Oakland, California, Verlene Hicks (Darrell) of Lincoln, California, Deborah Armas (Michael, Sr.) of Manteca, California, Anthony George Johnson (Kelley) of Puyallup, Washington, and Boris LaShun Johnson (Bona) of San Jose, California; grandchildren, Erica Sudderth, Brian Ingram, Karlana Humphrey, Allana Ingram, Taylor Alyssa Johnson, Michael Armas, II, Justin Armas, Nickolas Armas, Laurence Thornton, Gerald Thornton, and Zhane' Johnson; great grandchildren, Juystce Armas, Journi Armas, Amina Armas, Kamiah Armas, Shyla Armas, Kayvon Thornton, Zacari Thornton, Eliana Thornton, Anias Johnson, India Denise Ingram, Miracle McCoy, and Amaya McCoy; a loving nephew, and brother Charles Julks; and a host of nieces and nephews.

There will be a wake Friday, April 25, 2025, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church in Wilmar, Arkansas at 1:00 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in Turner Hill Cemetery following the funeral services.
