Barbara Binns Miles, age 90 of Monticello, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Baptist North Medical Center in North Little Rock, AR. She was born February 21, 1935, in Monticello, AR to the late Merton Binns and Nollie Veasey Binns.
She was a homemaker and had 20 years of service at USDA in both Desha and Drew Counties. Barbara enjoyed her lifelong church family at both McGehee and Monticello First Baptist Churches. She dearly loved her family, planning gatherings, traveling around the United States, being outside working in her flower garden, spending time on the farm and fishing in Bayou Bartholomew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Burwell Binns; and three sisters, Myrtis Binns Davis, Lucylle Binns Wherry and Jackadean Binns.
She is survived by her beloved husband and son, George Miles Sr. and Jr. (aka Bub and Bubba); one sister, Joyce Binns Langston; and many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family who knew her as either Aunt Barbara or Aunt Bobbie.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025, in Oakland Cemetery with Pastor David Brown officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Jim Davis, Jay Langston, Jeff Langston, Gary Miles, J.P. Miles and Larry Miles. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Monticello and McGehee (312 W. Seamans Drive McGehee, AR 71654). You can sign Mrs. Barbara's guestbook registry on this website.
