Jackie Eugene Morphis, Sr., age 77 of Danville, Arkansas, formerly of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025. He was born June 18, 1948, in Lake Village, Arkansas to the late J.V. Morphis and Mildred Elvis Sanders Morphis.
He was a retired catfish farmer, United States Air Force Veteran. Jackie loved to hunt and fish, listen to gospel music and going to the bull rides with his son. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Monticello. In addition to his parents, Jackie is preceded in death by his wife, Debra Ann Scroggins Morphis; and two brothers, Wendell Morphis and Monroe Vernoil.

Survivors include his son, Scooter Morphis of Hot Springs Village, AR; one brother, Donnie Ray Morphis of Crossett, AR; grandson, Colton Lane Morphis; granddaughter, Tristin Morphis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church in Monticello, AR. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. A private family burial will be in Bayou Mason Cemetery in Lake Village, AR. You can sign Jackie's guestbook registry here on his page.
