He was a retired truck driver and maintenance coordinator for Bulloch Real Estate, a United States Air Force Veteran and was of the Baptist faith. John was a firearms enthusiast that enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Scroggins; and a brother, Guy Scroggins.
Survivors include his children, Janet Gavin of Conway and John Scroggins, Jr. of California; and his grandchildren, Brandy Martin, Heather Gavin, Chad Leslie and Heather Langwell.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. You can sign John''™s guestbook registry here on his page.
