Teddy Neil ''Ted'' Stokes, age 92 of Ft. Smith, AR, formerly of Monticello, AR, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025, at his home in Ft. Smith. He was born March 28, 1933, in Wallins Creek, KY to the late Lloyd Stokes, Sr. and Tevis Virginia Hyden Stokes.
He was a retired medical technologist, United States Air Force Veteran where he served as a medic in the Korean War and was a Methodist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Stokes of Norton, VA; and two wives, Nancy Auburn Yeager Stokes and Anna Sue Stokes.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Stokes of Ft. Smith; a daughter, Lisa Kay Stokes Pittman of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Kristie Michelle Stokes Nall of Monticello, Nicholas Neil Stokes of Ft. Smith and Cassandra Susan Pittman Torres of Phoenix, AZ; great grandchildren, Wynree Lynn Stokes of Ft. Smith, Lucas Neil Stokes of Ft. Smith and Alexander Ricardo Torres of Phoenix, AZ; and a sister, Barbara Stokes Saylor of Wallins Creek, KY.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2025, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joey Chambers officiating. There will be a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. You can sign Ted's guestbook registry here on his page.
