Charles was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Rosie Lee Washington Graves (2016); his daughter, Shagayla Latrinn Grays (2015); his father Shelby ''Peter'' Grays (2010); two brothers, Lee Andrew Grays (1976) and Willie Earl Grays (1978); a sister, Shirley Patterson (2017); and a special nephew, Michael (Mickey) Grays (2002).
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Linda Wallace Grays; his devoted son, Shane Allen Grays; six cherished grandchildren, Ciana, Akia, Malik, Jalen, Shani, and Shane Jr.; stepdaughter, Shakeylla Allen; step grandson, James F. Matthews, III; four great grandchildren, Sha'Melia, Ivy'el, Haislee and Rainiyah; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever remember his laughter, wisdom, and style. Charles will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, faith, and strength will continue to live on in all who knew him.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2025, at The House of Prayer in Fountain Hill, AR. There will be a Wake Saturday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lacey Cemetery. You can sign Edward's guestbook registry here on his page.
