I served in the Army.
Turner Steve Berryman, age 97 of Green Hill, Arkansas passed away, Thursday, November 6, 2025, at his home. He was born December 22, 1927, in Green Hill to the late Grover Cleveland Berryman and Cora Ethel Stephenson Berryman. Steve was a veteran of the United States Army who served his country in the Korean War. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years before his retirement. Steve enjoyed crappie fishing, watching the deer around his home and was very involved with the Green Hill Baptist Church where he was a member for many years. He also enjoyed gardening and grew the best tomatoes in Drew County.

In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Irene Haynes Berryman; siblings, Robert Berryman, Doris Berryman Hickam, Lucille Berryman Lollar White, Marguerite Berryman Cruce, James Grover Berryman and Thomas Houston Berryman.

Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Jane Berryman Reese of Conway; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Reese Dozier and husband Matt and Nicole Suzanne Reese both of Durham, NC; great grandson, Turner Stephen Dozier, along with another great grandson to be born any day; stepson, Jonathan Bernard Ferry; a step grandson, Eric Montgomery of Jacksonville, AR; two step grandchildren, Ethan and Brooklyn Montgomery; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Joe Berryman, Bob Berryman, Jamie Berryman, Jimmy Berryman, Wes Lawson, and Roger Donaldson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Reagen Berryman, Jesse Berryman, Greg Berryman, Trent Brown, Kyle Berryman and Danny Lawson. The family would like to issue a special "thank you" to Danny Lawson for being such a great friend to Steve for many years. Memorials may be made to Green Hill Baptist Church.
