Frances accepted Christ and was baptised at Mt. Pleasant AME Campground in Monticello where she remained a faithful member until her health began to decline. Frances attended Drew High School and graduated from Dunbar High School in Arkansas. Her lifelong passion was taking care of her family and housekeeping. The youngest of seven children, she knew exactly what life meant to cherish family and friends.
As a resident of Monticello, AR all her life, she was a member of the Mt. Pleasant AME Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, Usher, Missionary Society member, Finance Committee member, Head of Cemetery Committee, Stewardess Board 1 & 2 and the oldest member of the church for many years. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jesse and Francine White; siblings, Agnes Robertson, Fannie White Thirstin Hamilton, Mary Hayes, Artis White and James White; and a grandson, Jason Christian.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories a daughter, Lou Ann Coutee of Crown Point, IN; two sons, James Keith (Vivian) Christian of Wilmar and Jesse (Gwen) Christian of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Rashawnda Smith of Charlotte, NC, and Jamel Christian and Kasey Gren both of Monticello; seven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Church. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with arrangements being handled by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
