He was retired having worked for Wal Mart, Drew Memorial Hospital and United Medical. John enjoyed playing games on his computer, watching westerns and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Shifflet Stewart; and a daughter, Rebecca S. Stewart.
He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Stewart Westerbuhr of Monticello; one brother, James W. Stewart of Monticello; two granddaughters, Natashia and Rebecca; four great grandchildren, John Adabelle, Skarlet and Miracle; and two step grandchildren, Annabella and Jessie.
