Sandra was a 1976 graduate of Woodlawn High School before earning her Bachelor's Degree in Education from UAM. Her teaching career began the same year at Drew Central and she retired after 32 combined years from Woodlawn Elementary School. Sandra was a lifelong member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church where she was very involved with the youth and the hospitality committee. She was widely known for her cooking, crafting and sewing. Sandra was also involved in the Rye Extension Homemaker's Club, loved to go shopping, but her greatest love was spending time with the lights of her life, her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Tommy Tooke; one son, Todd Tooke and wife Leah; one daughter, Crystal McCoskey and husband Shannon; her mother, Jean Taylor Forrest; one brother, Dewayne Forrest and wife Pam; her dearly loved grandchildren, Kendall Tooke, Evan and Audrey McCoskey; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 12 noon at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Michael Stroh and Dewey West officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00-12:00 preceding the funeral service. Burial will follow the service at Enon Cemetery in Rye, AR.
