He was a retired maintenance employee of Burlington Industries. Willie loved riding his motorcycle, traveling across the United States, planting his garden and anything in the outdoors. He was a strong man, someone who enjoyed working for everything and dearly loved his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, John Edward Higgins, Mir Reen Raiford, Lee Rollie Higgins, Robert Higgins, Francis Higgins, Margaret Moss and Wayne Higgins; and life partner, Linda Guin.
Willie is survived by his siblings, Dolly May, Sarah Kendrick and Gailene Barnett; along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2025, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel.
