He was a Master Electrician and member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Jackie loved being outside where he could hunt, crappie fish and do his job as an electrician. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Herbert Leon Bradley.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Calhoun Forrest; two daughters, Jenna Forrest Cater and husband Nick and Sheigh Forrest Murphy and husband John; two sisters, Donna Forrest Bradley and Sherry Forrest Gilbert; three grandchildren, Piper Emmaleigh Forrest, Adaline Rose Forrest and Gage Forrest Cater all of Monticello; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Carter officiating. There will be a visitation from 12:30-2:00 preceding the funeral service in the chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. You can sign Jackie's guestbook registry here on his page.
