I served in the Air Force.
William Marrion Sanson, age 89 of Monticello, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born June 3, 1936, in Monticello, AR to the late Preston and Thelma Sanson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Sanson; his wife, Annette ''Bug'' Sanson; and his daughter-in-law, Rebecca Sanson.

He is survived by his two sons, David Sanson and Greg Sanson; his sister, Pat Mitchell and husband Dale; his nieces, Renee ''Pudd'' Mitchell and Holly Lawrenz; his granddaughters, Megan Sanson and husband Josh Oakes and Jessica Morgan and husband Andrew; and his great granddaughters, Morghan, Lynn, Dani, and Emma.

Bill was a man who enjoyed laughter, being a little obstinate and adventurous. He worked hard but loved harder. Bill was a retired Tech Sargent in the United States Air Force and a Deputy Sherriff for the Drew County Sherriff's Department. He loved motorcycles and going on weeklong trips with his son Greg over the last sixteen years. He had a love for the Doberman breed, with Girl being his ever-faithful companion even still.

Bill lived his life to the fullest and left such an incredible mark on all around him. We love and miss you already.

Visitation will be Monday, February 16, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Dear family, I am so sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed working with Bill at Burlington Industries. And while he was a deputy he stopped me for speeding on morning. Thankfully he did not give me a ticket. And he truly loved his trips with his son. Prayers and thinking of ya'll.
