Sandra Kay Burnett, age 64, of Monticello, Arkansas departed this life February 13, 2026, at UAMS hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born January 13, 1962, to Phillip Burnett and Emma Ridgell Green. She confessed her belief in the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and joined Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church at an early age. She taught Sunday school, she was a class leader, and a missionary. She was faithful to the church and would help anyone out. Labue and Ruth Ridgell reared Sandra Burnett, Thomas Burnett and Sherry Caldwell.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Labue and Ruth Ridgell; paternal grandparents, Archie Burnett and Katie Ross Burnett; a sister, Lagenia Burnett; three aunts, Annie Bell Keith, Olean Girtman, and Gennie Burnett; and one uncle, Jerry Don Ridgell, Sr.
Sandra Kay Burnett leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Emma Ridgell Green; father, Phillip Burnett; step father, Carl Green, Sr.; five brothers, Thomas Burnett of Monticello, AR, Darrell Bauknight of Monticello, AR; Melvin Burnett of Detroit, MI, Karl Burnett of Detroit, MI, and Phil Burnett; two step brothers, Carlton Green and LeeMarvin Green; five sisters, Rita Bauknight of Monticello, AR, Cathy Mayweather of Little Rock, AR, Teressia Burnett of Detroit, MI, Grace Burnett, and Veuma Burnett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, and other relatives.
There will be a wake from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 20, 2026, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion A.M.E Cemetery.
