He was a retired laborer and was of the Baptist faith. David loved just being outdoors with the animals, hunting, fishing and doing yard work. He also enjoyed watching You Tube videos of old car restoration and off-grid home building.
He is survived by his sister, Cindy Wheeler of Monticello.
A private family graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Monticello.
