Jerry had a passion working as a sawer in a lumber sawmill for over 50 years doing what he loved. He was employed with Ozark Badger Lumber Company in Wilmar for 5½ years, J.P. Price Lumber Company for 16 years before working for Potlatch Lumber Company. He also loved fishing, camping, trotlining and working his cows but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a United States Army Veteran where he was an E6 Staff Sgt. stationed in Fort Polk, LA and Fort Walters, TX. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Ann Davis Creed.
He is survived by his wife of 59½ years Patricia Cope Davis; two sons, Randall Davis and wife Angela and Calvin Davis and wife Brandie; six grandchildren, Faith, Megan and husband Taylor, Austin, Corey and Ashleigh, and Hope; ten great grandchildren; a brother, James (Tommy) Davis and wife Theresa; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Wesson and Rev. Joe Chambers officiating. There will be a visitation Saturday evening from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
