Shirley Ann McCurry Horn, age 82 of Monticello, AR, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026, at Belle View Nursing and Rehab in Monticello, AR. She was born March 13, 1944, in Rivervale, AR to the late Gillum Daniel McCurry and Mildred Mae Kendall McCurry.

She was a retired bank teller and member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Shirley was a beloved wife, mother, gran and friend. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Charles McCurry; one sister, Roxie McCurry Tigert; and the love of her life for 58 years, David Wayne Horn, Sr.

Survivors include one son, David Horn, Jr. of Hot Springs; one daughter, Teresa Horn Fowler of Cominto; one sister, Hazel LeClaire of Fort Pierce, FL; one brother, Darrell McCurry and wife Liz of Thibodaux, LA; five grandchildren, Morgan Horn Cheramie and husband Aaron, Lauren Horn Gifford and husband Nick, Kyle Fowler and wife Christine, Heather Fowler Henley and husband Josh, and Ryan Fowler and wife Cheyenne; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David Jacks officiating. There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. preceding the memorial service at the Church.     I am so sorry to learn about Shirley. I met her and Wayne when they bought my parents home at Collins. She was a very sweet pleasant person. I'm so sorry for your loss.
