He was a retired carpenter and enjoyed woodworking and making decals. Howard was a pillar of strength, a hard worker, and a true friend to all who knew him. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy G. Kimsey.
He is survived by his children, Jasmine Bittle and husband Dustin, Jeanne Andrews, Hope Harris, Kelli West, Jerry West and Kyle Barnett; his mother, Virginia Harris; siblings, Stanley Stephenson, Darryl Kimsey, Mashella Martin, Hayley Kimsey and Darlene Kimsey; along with numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services along with visitation will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel.
