He was a retired tool pusher and onsite oil rig senior supervisor and was of the Catholic faith. Joseph enjoyed collecting classic vehicles, cooking for his family, watching action movies, fixing vehicles and maintaining his yard. He also loved eating out and shopping with his wife Forsythia. He was their MacGyver who was very intelligent, resourceful and a sharp troubleshooter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Leon Seal and Felix Dwight Seal; and one sister, Paula Seal.
His is survived by his wife, Forsythia Seal; a daughter, Constance Mahaffey; a son, Timothy Jake Seal and wife Shanna; two step daughters, Shari Evangelista and Abri Evangelista; three brothers, Eric Wayne Seal and wife Pat of Amarillo, TX, Tony Seal and wife Sheron of Mittie, LA and Terry Seal and wife Veronica of Mittie, LA; two sisters, Joan Burnett and husband Harold, and Kathy Coe and husband James all of Mittie, LA; six grandchildren, Hunter, Julietta, Kathryn, Darren, Chip and Mallie; along with his three puppies, Booda, Cookie and Juno who were like his children.
A visitation for Joseph will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in Mittie, LA later this week. The day and time will be announced soon.
