Mackenzie was a 2025 Monticello High School honor graduate where she was named as an Arkansas Academic Scholar. She was a member of Monticello United Pentecostal Church where she was involved in the youth church camp and was named as a camper of the year nominee. Mackenzie was mightily used by God. She was always the last one to leave the altar.
She was a very smart young lady who always smelled good, loved to laugh, hated having her picture taken, loved everyone deeply, a protective big sister, the ''mother hen'' of every friend group, a caregiver and believed in everyone. Mackenzie also had a special love for her siblings and cousins and just loved people in general. She loved her lotion, comfy clothes, soft socks and watching Gilmore Girls. She had an opinion about everything and a solution to every problem. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Sherry Brown.
Mackenzie is survived by her parents, Magen (Brandon) Polk of Monticello and Brandon (Miriam) Asarisi of White Hall; grandparents, David (Cindy) Strickland, of Texas, Fred (Tonya) Asarisi of Gentry and Lisa Asarisi of Dumas; siblings, Connor Asarisi, Makayla Polk, Braydon Polk, and Irving Arezmendi; uncles, Joshua Strickland and Christopher Asarisi; as well as a host of cousins, family, and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, June 1, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery in Possum Valley, AR.
