Earline Peacock Wells, age 82 of Monticello, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. She was born October 28, 1943, in McGehee, AR to the late Neal Peacock and Verla Bea Berry Peacock.

She was the widow of Bobby Wells, member of Calvary Baptist Church and worked in medical records for 20 years at Drew Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Earline loved gardening, traveling, native American culture, Indian artifacts and was a devout Republican. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Phil Peacock, Sr.; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Leggett, Sr.

Survivors include her two sons, Gerald (Bronc) Wells and wife Jean of Fordyce and Shawn Wells of Monticello; two sisters, Nealie Leggett of Monticello and Denice Coston and husband Randy of Searcy; two grandsons, Tyler Wells and wife Sara Beth of Cominto and Amos Lee Wells of Moscow, Russia; two great grandsons, Thad and Silas; one great granddaughter, Jace; along with a host of nieces and nephews including several great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. There will be a visitation preceding the funeral service from 4:30-5:00 p.m. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery.
