He was a farmer in Arkansas City before becoming a truck driver for J.B. Hunt for 20 years and Akin Industries for 5 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Fran Coalter.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Suzie Flemister of Monticello; and special friends, Houston Marshall and Steve and Theresa Curry.
Graveside services will be in Oakland Cemetery at a time to be determined.
