Mary Geraldine Tiner was granted her angel wings on April 10, 2015.
Nana was born on November 26, 1930 in Herbine, Arkansas, the daughter of Alma and Vodie Rauls. She married the love of her life, Adrian T. Tiner, on March 7, 1949 and they moved to Odessa, Texas shortly after that in 1951.
Through the years she devoted her time and energy as a caretaker to her family members. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and her faithful pet, Sassy. Although she was tiny and frail, she gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.
Nana is survived by her three children; Sherrie Tiner of Odessa, Texas, Shilda Wade and her husband Craig of Llano, TX and Tommy Tiner and wife Meryl of Gardendale, TX. She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren; Becky Tiner of Dallas, Tony Wade and wife Jennifer of Odessa, Jeff Wade and wife Stacey of Odessa, Wendy Blackmon and husband Brad of Gardendale, Sandy Robinson of Odessa, Jonathan Foster and wife Ramona of Gardendale, Lance Tiner of Odessa and John Tiner and his wife Alice of Winder, GA. She is also survived by 10 Great Grandchildren; Blake Blackmon, Mason Tiner, Chris Hall, Tyler Wade, Colton Foster, Makayla Tiner, Kelly Tiner, Samantha Stokes, Ashlynn Wade, and Brittney Whitaker. She is also survived by one Great-Great Granddaughter, Dreamer Torres.
Nana was preceded in death by her husband Adrian T. Tiner on August 29, 2008 and her Great-Granddaughter Bevanie Wade on March 1, 2015.
There will be a family and friend get-together at Tommy and Meryl’s house at 15265 N Pecan in Gardendale, TX starting at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday and everyone is welcome to stop by to help us honor Nana. Service arrangements are entrusted to Stephenson’s Funeral Home of Monticello, AR and will be held there on Friday April 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Nana then being laid to rest at Prosperity Cemetery in Rison County, Arkansas.
