Joe Roger Chapman, age 86 of Monticello, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at Drew Memorial Hospital. He was born August 29, 1930 in Drew County, AR to the late Abner Houston Chapman and Velma Daugherty Chapman.
He was owner/operator of Chapman Sheet Metal and a member of Lacey Assembly of God Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Kenneth Chapman; one sister, Lavoy Place; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Endsley.
Survivors include his wife, Inez Higgins Chapman of Monticello; three sons, Steve Roger Chapman and wife Nancy and Timothy Joel Chapman and wife Wanda all of Monticello and Michael Anthony Chapman and wife Rebecca of Springdale; two daughters, Patricia Ann Endsley of Monticello and Sandra Naomi Sanders and husband Scott of Lebanon, MO; fifteen grandchildren, twenty seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2016 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
