"Mrs. Beard was one of my favorite teachers. She taught me how hard work and faith in your own abilities could take you where ever you wanted to go. A true southern lady. She will be remembered well and greatly missed for a long time..."

"So sorry to read of Mrs. Beard’s passing. She was my favorite teacher in high school & I did my student teaching under her. She instilled a lifelong love of history in me. She was tough, but fair. I have no doubt that she had a positive impact on many young lives. Thank you Mrs. Beard."
