"To Miss Monteene and all the family of Wes McCoy. I read about his passing in the Fall 2020 "UAM Magazine". Mr. McCoy was a mentor of mine when I was at UAM for my undergraduate degree during the years 1973-77. I worked for him as an apprentice surveyor, as well. Never have I met a man so knowing, and willing to share that knowledge. He helped me greatly at a time when I needed advice on how to proceed with my future - and prodded me into furthering my education at a Masters level in statistics which led me to a wonderful career, and life, in Georgia. I thank him for his personal interest in the students around him. We all benefited from his tutelage. He will be sorely missed. May God bless you all."
