Mildred Jean Bateman, age 83, of Pine Bluff, AR passed away peacefully on February 1, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Otis & Gertrude Davis, she was the third child of ten children.
On October 27, 1955, she married the love of her life Murl Gene Bateman. They had four children, Murl (Terry) Bateman of Pine Bluff, Michael Bateman, Tricia (Charles) Miller of Magnet Cove, and Marc (Debbie) Bateman of Pine Bluff. They had nine grandchildren, Tony Bateman, Shaun Bateman, Kelly Bateman, Devon Atkins, Tara Arnold, Brad Conner, Gene Ross Bateman, Lee Bateman & Micah Malone. They had twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death, her husband Murl Gene Bateman, her son Michael Anthony Bateman, her brothers Robert Davis, Donald Davis, Albert Davis, her sisters Martha Ann King, Gladys Rash, Ruby Dalsis, a granddaughter Kelly Bateman and a great-grandson Tyler Bateman.
She was a member of Shannon Rd Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mildred was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, February 5th at Shannon Rd., Baptist Church from 5 PM to 7 PM. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 6th at 10 AM at Shannon Rd., Baptist Church.
