Doris Marie Morgan Hudson, age 77 of Monticello, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. She was born August 1, 1943, in Watson, AR to the late Carl Franklin Morgan and Ollie Cleo Stewart Morgan.
She was the widow of John Edward Hudson, a retired Burlington Industries employee and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Doris loved yardwork and flowers and kept an immaculate yard, was a dog lover and was very fond of her birds and chickens. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Thomas Morgan; three sisters, Altha Jean Goode, Carlene Tabor and Virginia Morgan Tucker; and her foster parents, Zadie Bell Burch and Charles Edward Burch
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Lynn Hudson of Monticello; a sister, Delores Butler of Thomasville, AL; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial in Lacey Cemetery. There will be a visitation one hour preceding the service at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
