"I am deeply saddened to learn so belatedly of the passing of Larry Earnest. I met Mr. Larry as a college summer student worker at the Rohwer research farm. He gave me my one and only ever nickname of "Peanut" because I was so short I could easily be lost in the cotton. Mr. Larry was extremely kind and jovial. I would spend every summer there for the next several years until I graduated and left for grad school. Mr. Larry was a great human and I am extremely fortunate to have known him. I'm heartbroken to learn of his passing at such a young age. I'm grateful for the video of his life. It's evident that he was greatly loved and surrounded by family during his lifetime. My deepest condolences for all family members the profound loss of your beloved."
