He is survived by his father Frank Ferguson, of Monticello, his brother, Adam Ferguson (Lisa Sheppard), of Malvern, Arkansas, his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Cobb, of Eupora, Mississippi, his beloved niece, Swayzee Ferguson, of Colfax, Louisiana, and very special friends, Zac and Sam Sheppard, of Malvern.

Stuart was a 2000 graduate of Drew Central High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He was self-employed and a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church of Monticello.

He was well-read and had a knack for remembering almost everything he read with great detail.
