"I knew Mr. Acree from the Presb. Children's Home in Monticello, AR. I lived there for several years and he was a kind and great person. I have never forgotten him or others. I pray he rests in peace and his family is comforted knowing he is absolutely in a better place. I was a teen then and now I am soon to turn 52. I have thought often over the years where so many of the people are from the Children's Home. Just a group of wonderful people that cared about the kids; and Mr. Acree was the leader. God Bless his family."

"No words can express how this man changed my life. He was kind and patient and wise. He made a difference in someone's life every day. A mentor, teacher, or just a shoulder to cry on. I am thankful every day that I was lucky enough to have him as a guide in my youth. Oh yea, and I was also afraid of his temper, which didn't flair too often but.... Ha."
