"Dad I miss you each day. Bettye passed and I know she is without pain now. You know how my health and transportation has been for awhile now. You know I was hurt when Douglas forgot about his Brother and Sister when he wrote Bettye's obit. Whatever his reason, I will still love him, forever."

"Dear Betty and Doug,
Charles and I are both so saddened with the loss of Norman. We so enjoyed the time we got to spend with yall at the lake. Norman enjoyed his life and made us feel so welcome when we came down there. We will keep you and Doug in our thoughts and prayers. Love you, and will try to come see you soon."
