Billy Ray Booker, age 59 of Monticello, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born March 25, 1959 in Little Rock, AR to the late Sammy Edward Booker and Cinderella Parnell Booker.

He was a self-employed business owner and a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Billy's passion was bass fishing. He loved to fish and made bass baits as a hobby. He lived life on the edge and was challenged by trying things no one else would attempt.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Forrest Booker of Monticello; four children, Donna Norris, Scott Booker, Keith Booker and Craig Booker all of Monticello; one brother, Larry Booker of Monticello; one sister, Tresea Smith of Monticello; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
