John William "Johnny" Jarrett, age 66 of Monticello, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born January 25, 1953 in Lake Village, AR to the late Ezra Earl Jarrett and Margaret Morrison Jarrett.

He was of the Baptist faith, and attended First Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church in Monticello. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jackie Jarrett and Tommy Jarrett; two sisters, Janice Jarrett Barlow and Betty Jarrett Hartness.

Johnny will be remembered for his loving heart and kindred spirit toward his friends and family members. He was an avid sports fan. He was also a lifelong Arkansas Razorback fan and season ticket holder for many years. He loved to read, especially World War II book and the Bible.

Survivors include two brothers, Sonny Jarrett and James Jarrett, Sr. and wife Margaret, all of Monticello; one sister, Linda Johnson and husband Phil of Monticello; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Tillar Cemetery. Visitation 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
