Glenda Raye Chambers Scogin
April 18, 1949 - October 5, 2018

Glenda Raye Chambers Scogin, age 69 of Monticello, AR passed away on October 5th in Little Rock, AR. She was born April 18, 1949 in St. Maries, Idaho to the late Robert Harry Chambers and Sylvia Yetive Linn Chambers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Earl Scogin and two older brothers Harry Linn Chambers and Calvin Jack “Jackie” Chambers.

Glenda was a very devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed her family, friends, gardening, and watching her grand kids play ball. She was a member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church in Drew County, AR.

Glenda graduated from Drew Central High School and from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock. She was a kindergarten educator in the Little Rock School District before she moved to Warren to manage her brother's medical practice for over 35 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Michele Dodson of Monticello and her husband Kavan and their son Michael and his wife Jennifer and grandson Jimmy. Also surviving her is her son, Trent Scogin of Monticello and wife Meghan and granddaughter Mia Ruth and grandson Mason Ray. Glenda’s surviving siblings are Betty Jo Stafford (C.H.) of Barkada community in Drew County, AR, Evelyn McKeown (Hubert) of Rock Springs community in Drew County, AR, Danny Chambers (Lindy) of Brenham, TX, Margie Irbe of Rock Springs community in Drew County, AR, Jeanie Scarzafava of Cooperstown, NY, and David Chambers (Michelle) of Dumas, AR, and sisters in law Joan Chambers (widow of Harry) of Cypress, TX, and Shirley Chambers (widow of Jackie) of LaConner, WA. She is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and numerous bonus kids who were involved with her husband “Coach Scogin’s” basketball teams through the years.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
