Teresa Jean Wood, age 66 of Dermott, AR, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Chicot County Memorial Hospital in Lake Village, AR. She was born September 5, 1954, in Dermott, AR to the late Nathan Steel and Marie Bateman Steel.

She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Wood and her mother-in-law, Rosie Marie Wood Hamaker. Teresa's hobbies included reading, watching TV and gambling.

Survivors include her son, Bobby Wood, Jr. of Dermott; her daughter, Barbara Steel of Rayville, LA; one sister, Sharon Steel of Rayville, LA; one brother, Nathan Steel, Jr. of St. Louis, MO; seven grandchildren, Josh Wood, Drake Wood, Hunter Steel, Diamond Steel, Mackenzie Wood, Kimmie Wood and Jase Wood; one great grandchild, Ryliegh Jean Wood; and an aunt, Joyce Schell of Granbury, TX.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Adams Singer Cemetery in Warren, AR. There will be a come-and-go viewing from 10:00 - 12:00 a.m. preceding the graveside service at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Covid-19 guidelines will be enforced.
