Rowena Poteet Parrott James of Conway, Arkansas formerly of Monticello and Warren, Arkansas passed from this life on August 28, 2021. She was born May 2, 1926, in New Edinburg, Arkansas, to Hattie Easterling Poteet, and John A. Poteet. She was a good cook and enjoyed seeing her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Joe James.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, one daughter, Mary “Jeannie “ Parrott Sullivan, and husband John of Conway, Arkansas. She will remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Kristin McBee Weeks and Mark of New Edinburg, Arkansas, Suanne Sullivan Bowen and Adam of Conway, Arkansas, Callie Rose Parrott of Houston, Texas; great grands, Hannah Weeks Estes and Austin of New Edinburg, Arkansas, Jameson Weeks of New Edinburg, Arkansas, Kirby Leggio of Houston, Texas; and great great grandson, Truett Allen Estes.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe James, her son’s, W.D. Parrott and Roy Howard Parrott; daughter, Barbara Ann Parrott McBee Ogles; and her granddaughter Shelley Parrott Leggio, Pasadena, Texas.

A memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. in Oakland Cemetery, Monticello, Arkansas.
