Lester M. Rabb
October 28, 1928 - September 21, 2009

Lester M. Rabb, age 80 of Monticello passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR. Born October 28, 1928 in Drew County, AR, he was the son of the late Tom Watson Rabb and Jewel Calhoun Rabb.

He was a retired Arkansas Highway Department Superintendent, a Korean War Veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church of Monticello. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion where he served as Commander.

He was also a member of the Arkansas Highway Department Retirees Association, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the "Over The Hill" Band. He was to receive on November 12th of this year the Cross Of Military Service presented by the Daughters of the American Revolution.

He was preceded in death by an infant son; a daughter, Leslie Larance; four brothers, Colby Rabb, Grover Rabb, Joe Rabb and Roth Rabb; and a sister, Katie Raines.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Lytle Rabb of Monticello; two brothers, Tom Rabb of Monticello and Ibb Rabb of Sugarland, TX; two sisters, Camille Berryman and Janie Fuller both of Monticello; two grandchildren, Annslie Larance of Little Rock and Dr. Jeremy Larance and wife, Dr. Paula of Wheeling, WV; and one great grandson, Gabriel "Gabe" Larance and a special young friend, Joey Donaldson.

Pallbearers are Sean Cody Gentry, Roth E. Rabb, Edgar Rabb, Jimmy Berryman, Eddie Rabb, Ralph Hunter and Billy Mitchell. Honorary Pallbearers are Chuck Cater, Warner Vining, Gilbert Thomas and Charles Quimby.

Officiating ministers are Rev. Buddy Lemons and Rev. Kevin Henry.
