Scotty Johns, 49 of Monticello passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born September 14, 1965 in Monticello to the late Thomas E. Johns and Roberta Willcox Johns.

Scotty was a retired pipe liner, and a foreman over many aspects in pipe lining. He could do anything, if you may, a “Jack of all trades”. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, boating, hunting, and fishing at their camp in Lake Village and just being with family and friends. He loved his family and enjoyed all aspects of life. It has been noted that one of his favorite things to do in this life was laugh.

Along with his parents, Scotty was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Bussell.
He is survived by his wife, Kris Barnett Johns of Monticello; one son, Slade Reed (Amber) of Monticello; two brothers, Keith Johns (Dianne) and Bobby Johns (Connie) all of Monticello; three sisters, Teresa Bush (James) of Indianapolis, IN, Melissa Cotham and Pamela Griffin both of Monticello; one grandson, Kage Vance Reed; his father and mother in law Dink and Carol Barnett; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Andrews Chapel Cemetery in Monticello with visitation Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-9:00 P.M. Online guestbook: www.stephensondearman.com.
