Marion Hill McCormick, age 70 of Monticello, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at her home in Monticello. She was born December 23, 1945 in Sheerness Sheppey, Kent England to Sylvia Newell Hill and the late Clayton Henry Hill.

She was a self-employed seamstress for over 40 years and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her son, Stephen Paul McCormick and one grandson, Johnathan McCormick. Marion was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and entertaining her family at all family gatherings. She had a green thumb and could grow anything. She was a very kind and loving person and will be missed by all her family.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Harold McCormick of Monticello; her mother, Sylvia Newell Hill of Monticello; one brother, Kenneth Hill and wife Linda of Dallas, TX; one sister, Margaret Jarrett of Hot Springs; two granddaughters, Stephanie Tucker and Ashley Tucker both of Conway; two great-granddaughters, Ryleigh Ingram and Karleigh Ferrell and a special friend Sharon Jackson, whom she thought of like a daughter.

Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Preceding the service, there will be a visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
