James Garland (Jay) McClain, age 52, of Lacey, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at his home in Lacey. He was born April 7, 1959 in Crossett, AR.
Jay was a construction worker and a member of the Lacey United Methodist Church. He loved and cared deeply for his family and friends and had a true passion for his work. Jay had a great sense of pride to be the fourth generation to live on the old McClain homeplace in Lacey.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Mitchell McClain of Lacey; his parents, James and Gwen Slaughter McClain of Lacey; two sons, James Jonathon (JJ) McClain and wife, Christy of Carrollton, TX and Mitchell Deal of Crossett, AR; three sisters, Debbie Haynes of Fountain Hill, Jan Shairrick and husband, Brent of Crossett and Teresa Swan of Crossett; and his grandson, James Jonathon (Trey J) McClain.
After the family visitation Saturday evening, there will be a benefit at 5:00 P.M. at the Lacey United Methodist Church. Entertainment will be provided by Wayfaring Strangers, Emily White along with other artists.
