Joseph Leron Preddy, 71, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at his home. He was born July 17, 1941 to the late Sarah Cavaness Preddy and Herman Preddy in Drew County, AR. On October 23, 1971 he married Aretha Waltonk, to this union four children were born.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sarah Cavaness Preddy, his father Herman Preddy; two sisters, Teretha Cavaness and Eula Ammons and three brothers Ira Preddy, Herman Preddy and Sherman Preddy.

He leaves to cherish precious memories four children, Marcus (Martha) Preddy of Pine Bluff, Joey (Enju) Preddy of Wilmar, Katrina L. (Percy) Hampton of Pine Bluff and Stacey L. (Anthony) Robinson of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Evelyn Bell of Oakland, CA and Barbara (Otis II) Remley of Wilmar; two brothers, Marvin Preddy and Harry Preddy both of Wilmar; nine grandchildren, two which preceded him in death; five great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews (a special nephew, Anthony Ammons), and other relatives. He also leaves to cherish his memory a very special friend, Ms. Alice McCain.
