Joan was an incredible lady! I am so lucky to have known her and to have spent time with her over the past 15+ years. You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you say goodbye to your Mom and Nonna. Rest assured that you will see her again someday, even though not having her here with you is so difficult. Her memory will live on vibrantly in your heart. She truly was a special lady. Love you!

Joan was who all of the McCollum's looked to for guidance and love. She was the Matriarch. That is a very special title. She made everyone of us feel so special and loved. You don't have to worry about where she is as I know she is in heaven. For you see, you didn't have to ask if she was a Christian as she lived it everyday. She loved her family with all her heart. Her friends were her delight.

In the days ahead, all the family will be at a loss as she will be so missed. We must pick up what she left us, her legacy of loving God, family, friends and yes just everyday people she met. In Romans 8:38-39 I am comforted by the fact that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Joan knew that. She will be missed
