 |  |  |  Sylvia Minchew Ingram, 72, of Monticello, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Drew Memorial Hospital.  She was born December 28, 1937 in Desha County.
 She was the widow of L. J. Ingram, a homemaker and a member of Friendship Pentecostal Church.  She was the daughter of the late Major Minchew and Lucy Huggins Minchew and was preceded in death by four brothers, Thurman, Ernest, Jim and Major Minchew, and three sisters, Lois Nelson, Myrtle Dunham and Dorothy Blissett.
 
 Survivors include three sons, James E. Ingram of Leesville, LA, Robert A. Ingram of Monticello and Ricky E. Ingram of Hazen; one daughter, Virginia Ann Compton of Arkansas City; three sisters, Lerlene Jobe of Blair, OK, Maureen Files and Maxine Vancanagan, both of New Orleans, LA; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
