Antwuan D. Woodard
January 4, 1989 - June 4, 2016

Antwuan Deontrey Woodard, 27, was born January 4, 1989, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR, to Rev. Curtis and Velinda Woodard. He departed this life to rest on June 4, 2016, at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, AR.

Antwuan was a 2007 graduate of Monticello High School where he excelled in athletics in their basketball, football and baseball programs. He was also a 2009 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello School of Technology in McGehee, AR, with an AA in welding. He went on to become a certified truck driver through Steven’s Transport School of Truck Driving. He worked as a certified painter at SeaArk Boat Marines of Monticello, AR, and as a certified forklift operator at American Steele of El Dorado, AR.

He was also employed and certified in food management, working several years as manager of Pizza Hut and McDonald’s of Monticello, Ar. His final employment years were with Pepsi-Cola, then Drew Foam of Monticello until his health failed.

He was a member of the Great I Am Temple of Monticello under the leadership of Pastor Ruby Wilson where he served many years as a drummer.

Antwuan was an avid hunter, fisherman and faithful member of the Double “O” Hunting Club. He loved riding 4-wheelers and had recently found a new passion for racing. He was a very dedicated father and loved spending time with his two daughters, Annslye and Annbrelie. He served his community by becoming a PeeWee Football Coach in which he took very seriously.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rev. Curtis Woodard; his maternal great grandparents, Adam and Maxine Block Stanley and Lexia Hicks Stanley; and his paternal great grandparents, Leola and Jeff Davis, John Woodard and Evelina Wells.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his fiancé, Uniqua White of Strong, AR; two daughters, Annslye and Annbrelie Woodard, both of Strong, AR; his parents, Rev. Curtis and Velinda Woodard of Monticello, AR; one brother, Kurtis Shepherd of Monticello, two sisters, Alexcia James of Stockbridge, GA, and Tanita Simmons of Monticello, AR; grandparents, James and Nancy Williams of Monticello, AR, Rev. Ebenezer James, Jr. of Hamburg, AR, and Norma Woodard of Monticello, AR; a very special cousin, Anthony Woodard of Monticello, AR; several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Morning Star Baptist Church with burial to follow in Union Ridge Cemetery #2. Visitation 6:00-7:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
