 |  |  |  Edwin Miles "Wheaties" White, 81, died December 31, 2021, at the Woods of Monticello, in Monticello, Arkansas. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on March 10, 1940, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Monticello. He is preceded in death by his mother Willie Mae Miles White and his father Henry White. He is survived by a son Dr. Steven White of Vancouver, Canada; a step-daughter, Ann Hartness of Monticello, AR; and a most special cousin, Carolyn Henley Moore of Monticello, AR. Wheaties graduated from Monticello High School and Arkansas A & M. He coached and taught school in Bastrop, Louisiana for many years. He enjoyed fishing and football. Wheaties, always laughing, joking, and full of fun, was a good and kind man who loved talking with friends, family, and even complete strangers. 
 A graveside service will be at Oakland Cemetery, in Monticello, AR, Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
 
 Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church of Monticello, and to the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
