Pamela Joyce Benson was born December 28, 1951, in Monticello, AR. The Lord called her home June 4, 2025. She was the eldest child of Zenola Baines and Eddie James Block. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Pilgrim Rest AME Church. Later in life, she became a member of Monticello First Assembly of God Church. She was a homemaker who loved bird watching, gardening, watching tv, and spending quality time with her family.
Preceding Pamela in passing were her parents, Zenola Baines and Eddie James Block; and grandparents, Ernest and Zeola Baines.
Pamela leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 50 years, Robert Benson of Monticello, AR; three daughters, Latrina (Deon) Shaw of Conway, AR, Latonya (James) Jackson of Gulfport, MS, and Latasha Benson of Bryant, AR; five granddaughters, Whitney Suber of Little Rock, AR, Chloe Fenison of Little Rock, AR, Zaria Fenison of Conway, AR, Lourdes Benson of Gulfport, MS, and Tatyana Johnson of Bryant, AR; and one great granddaughter , A’jah Fenison of Little Rock, AR. She also leaves her well-loved care team, Dawn Pruitt and Amelia Russ, and a host of cousins to cherish her memory.
